is it possible for me to get temporary UK car insurance on my mums car, whilst my mum already has a policy?

i just need to borrow my mums car every weekend for the next three months, is it possible to put on temporary car insurance that will not affect any insurance she already has on the car.
If you wwere over 23 you could get temp insurance even if she has cover on it.
You cannot get temp cover that lasts for 3 months - 1 month max and once a year on the same car
The only way to do this is to be a named driver on Mums insurance as it would be cheaper that if you could do 2 days a week for 13 weeks

The simple fact is that I should not have to obey a 70mph speed limit if I don't want to. Why would I even bother driving a car that can hit 186mph (with the speed governor removed, with the governor top speed is 155mph) at 70 mph? A Ford Fiesta can hit those speeds, what's the point of fast cars if you're going to follow the speed limit in them? That's horrible news for me. I would think any almost new MacBook will sell for the same price as refurb or worst case $50 less until the Merom MacBooks ship - which could be at the same time as the MBP but more likely by November. :) Am I the only one who's starting to find this petty crusade of yours annoying? Seriously, just drop it. The iMac is a great machine.
