Can you get Temporary Cover Car Insurance if you are 20 years old?

I went on TempCover.com and the age range is 24 - 75 years.
Could my dad get it and put our name on it so we can drive from London to Stroud to leave the car there to get fixed?
There are insurance companies out there who do do temporary insurance cover but due to the economic crisis they are reducing their risks by increasing the age minimum.
Who has insurance on the car you are going to take to be repaired? Why not ask them to add your name to their insurance as this will most probably be cheaper?
